ADOPTED – Baloo – Alaskan Malamute

Just when we thought they couldn’t get any more awesome, this guy came along! One year old Baloo is pretty hard to ignore. Weighing in at 100 pounds already, we suspect he’s likely to add an additional 30 pounds as he matures. He’s a healthy growing boy! There’s really not a shy bone in this Malamute’s body. He’s very outgoing but in an innocent, sweet way. Nothing seems to intimidate him so he’ll need to be placed in a home that can manage that outgoing nature. He loves playing with other large dogs that are able to keep up with him. Due to his size, it’s easy to forget how young he is. He knows the basic sit and shake commands but needs some boot camp for some Malamute manners. He’s extremely strong and will need an owner who is able to handle that.

Baloo is not available quite yet. He’ll be spending some time in an experienced Northern breed dog foster home and will remain there until we feel he has the skills necessary to be a good Malamute citizen.
